I locked myself out of my house during the recent ralns. The original reason I chose them was not only the reasonable rates, but a faster response time. The technician was fast professional and knowledgeable. They are very competitive price-wise. If I ever find myself in a jam again they'll be the first ones I'd call.

What a fast experience. They showed up to my home, quoted me, then I spent five minutes to grab cash for payment, and by the time I returned, they had a key made for my car. Tested it in all the locks and it works great. Unbelievable work.

I called these guys after getting locked out of my house. I had to be at an appointment in one hour so I was hoping they would be able to make it to me within the 20 minute window they said. We had a bit of an emergency - the lock to our bathroom (with no window) completely broke with our youngest inside. Locksmith sent Barack over & he got her out! He figured out that the lock wasn't installed correctly, and gave us suggestions on replacements.

I lost my keys late at night and with no place left to look I had to hope they were locked in the car. So I called these guys up and they got out to me quickly. Ilan came out this morning and within about twenty minutes time was able to fix my 98' Ford Ranger after someone had tried to steal it. Called Locksmith Monkey just after landing at PDX late at night on a weekend. They were waiting for me in economy parking by the time I got there. Had a microchip key made in no time and they threw in an spare door key. Solid price. Straight forward. 10 out of 10. Definitely calling if my keys/bag are stolen again.

So I lost the one and only key I had for my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta, I called multiple dealerships to compare prices and then I came across Locksmith Monkey and they responded and let me know prices and everything. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they got back to me, did the work and got me a new key and programmed it to the car. Long story short, I had a "locksmith" come out after sounding extremely confident over the phone that he could cut a key from scratch, but after spending hours poking at my ignition, couldn't get the job done and resulted in a key that was not only able to open my gas tank and rear seat cover.. but also the depths of my despair as I wondered if I would EVER ride again.

Fast forward a few years later the spark of riding kindled a flame and i began seeking alternative, very EXPENSIVE methods of acquiring a working key.. from tearing apart completely, new ignition.. you know the drill. BUT, after searching forums i decided to give Locksmith Monkey a chance..

Let me tell you something, the most professional, passionate man showed up at my door, using the key already cut (and saving me money) the job was done in 20 min and with zero bolts removed.. and I had my key!

Do not call anyone else regarding any locksmith issue, ESPECIALLY if it's a high end bike and you need someone who really knows what they're doing.

Dude was over here when he said he would be. While he was here it was damn near freezing that being said he made sure to get the job done in those conditions and within the price range agreed on before. Another company gave me a quote at least 100-200 more expensive then called back saying it couldn't be done at all will definitely hit up ilan and the pros at locksmith monkey next time I need help (btw it was an ignition that was tore to hell by some guys trynna steal my car)

Had increasing difficulties with my 2009 Honda Fit ignition key for weeks when I finally researched the problem.  Found great information on Locksmith Monkey's website about it that was confirmed from other sources.  Called and received a visit from Ilan the same day.  He inspected and diagnosed the main problem but on fixing it found the steering column parts inside the ignition mechanism were still not working right.  He explained how this happened and my options. He gave me a not-to-exceed bid for fixing it no matter what it took.  He ended up taking it home and disassembling and rebuilding it there, spending far more hours for that bid than any reasonable rate for a locksmith.  It would have cost over a thousand for the dealership to have replaced the lock and then I would also have to get new keys and the car's VIN would no longer index to any replacement keys.  Ilan fixed it for a fraction of that and it has continued to work flawlessly for months afterwards.  Very satisfied!

I just bought a new home and my 2nd day in the house I accidentally locked one of the bedroom doors. This door had an actual key lock (like what you would use on the exterior door of your home) and the first locksmith I called was unable to pick the lock. Definitely recommend! For convenience and security, I finally decided to get all of the locks in our house re-keyed. I decided to call Locksmith Monkey after reading all of the post reviews and was not disappointed. The person who responded to my initial call was courteous and gave an immediate estimate and an approximate window of service. Because of his professionalism and straightforward response, I decided to purchase the $139 for $99 deal and schedule the appointment. Ilan (technician) came out on time and was very friendly and efficient. Upon seeing the locks, he told us that one (of the four we were changing) could not be re-keyed to match the others. At that point, we decided to change out the lock and he did not hesitate to run back to his shop to get a deadbolt and handle that would work (he even matched the color and style of the old one perfectly). When he got back, he finished the job quickly but with care and precision. We now have one key and all of the doors are locking smoothly and easier than before. Thanks, Locksmith Monkey!

I was loading Christmas presents in my trunk and somehow my keys dropped inside and my car doors were locked as well so i couldn't use the trunk button on the inside!! There were hardly any places open but my uncle found these guys and i waited no more than 35 minutes on Christmas Eve and the guy Wes who came he got in, in less than 5 minutes!!! These guys rock!! I was having the most anxiety filled day. I was taking a load from my storage unit to my car and went to unlock it. It wouldn’t budge. I threw a little tantrum at first and then calmly tried one more time and snap my key broke off in my door. I dropped my keys on the ground and started crying. I had called two different company’s. I got a call back assuming it was the original company I chose. My phone ended up dying and did in fact actually die as Mr. pulled up and parked behind me. I ran over frantic about my phone and he was so calm and plugged my phone into his van. The whole time as I blabbered on about nonesence he kept reassuring me everything was Going to be ok and to smile. We had a ring of keys stolen for our house. They came out and replaced our outside locks so they all use the same key and fixed our annoying front door that you had to jiggle just right to open. Barak is the man and really great guy! He saved us over $340!!! Dealership wanted over $340 for 1 key and they did 2 for $340. They travel to where you are and available 24-7. They do all the modern keys and quickly. We needed 2 transponder chip keys and he made them for us in about a hour. We're located in Vancouver, WA and so they travel quiet a ways. I would highly recommend Locksmith Monkey, especially if you need expensive keys made.

These guys are awesome! They saved us over $340! We needed copies of Transponder keys (the ones with chips in them) made and the dealership wanted over $340 for 1, these guys did 2 for the same price. They travel to where you are and are available 24-7. The keys work wonderfully. My only slight knock on them is that they were a half hour late, BUT we do live in Vancouver and they're in Portland. My husband and I arrived yesterday afternoon at PDX, returning from a family visit out of state. He walked around the house with me and inspected each lock first to determine the type of lock and number of cylinders each had. Then he and his assistant went right to work replacing the locks and were efficient with time. I am very happy with their service.

My life saver is BARAK from LOCKSMITH MONKEY!!! I own a mini coup' and from The day I bought the car I had only one key and always kept it safe. Just for the simple fact to make a copy of this key with the bottoms on the top cost a fortune at the dealer store. But as you know sometimes when you save on one side you're spending more on the other and here's my story. On Friday evening my wife I went out for a beer in downtown Portland by the river. My wife first it was right next to us the whole time disappeared along with my wife on and guess what my only key to my car. First thing on my mind was how I'm getting a key for my car late Friday night not just that it's a mini coup which is gonna cost a lot. Just because the car is manufactured by BMW and a security system all very sophisticated one. I already knew it's gonna be a problem to find someone that can make that key. but only when I start calling in to all the locksmiths over here on yelp and Google as well. My 2009 Honda Fit has a uniquely Honda on the drivers side door that required the lock to be rebuilt. Called one local place and they wanted me to drop the car off for 4 hours or so. Locksmith Monkey came to my house and fixed it in about an hour for a lower price thanks to their Yelp coupon. I set up the appointment via Yelp message, which was convenient. But they were about 45 minutes late. Would have given them 5 stars if the had been more prompt. Still recommend their service. Especially with their coupon!

I was locked out, with melting groceries on my porch. He arrived quickly and got me in my house, before my groceries spoiled. I hope I do not need to use the service again, but this will be the place I call if I do. *EDIT I did end up needing them again and they were even faster the second time.

I recently had my house broken into and called Locksmith Monkey based on the Reviews. Representative answered when I called the business number and asked me to send photos of the kicked-in door so he can transfer it to Ilan ( locksmith guy) . Ilan called back within. 20 minutes and said it didn't look too bad and said he could be there that day to fix it. He repaired the door, reinforced it, and added high-security locks. The next day he did the same with the other two exterior doors. Ilan was very helpful and knowledgeable as I didn't know what options were available to prevent break-ins. I assumed that since I had an alarm system and sign, that thieves wouldn't break-in. I was wrong, but luckily the alarm went off and scared away the intruders and nothing was stolen. Since I was at work and had to leave suddenly despite trying to finish something that day for a deadline, this break-in was very inconvenient and shocking, needless to say. I'm glad I called Ilan and got these new locks and reinforcements, although I should have got them when I moved in. But together with the alarm system, I feel more secure knowing that it is unlikely to happen again. I would recommend Ilan to anyone needing a locksmith in general and also to anyone who owns a home because if you have regular locks and un-reinforced doors you are at risk of break-ins even if you have an alarm system/sign.

I called Locksmith Monkey after work this evening around 7 PM to inquire about having locks changed on two doors of my home, not thinking they would be able to come out the same night to complete the work, since it wasn't an emergency. They told me on the phone locks would start at $25 per lock and go up from there depending on the type of lock, (which they'd have to see in person to quote me), so I expected the price to be around $100 or more since I had 4 different lock pieces to change. I had a great experience hiring Barak at locksmith monkey to replace a lock on our main entry door, and rekey the rest of our home. He was professional, friendly and quick. His prices are fair and he is upfront about any issue he could run into when preforming his work. I would definitely call locksmith monkey and Barak for any locksmith job in the future.

Locksmith Monkey saved the day. I had a unique unlock situation. The truck is a 1989 GMC that we had no key for whatsoever. I had tried calling the dealership and they said the truck is too old and they couldn't get a code to make the new key. I also called other locksmiths and they gave me a 2 to 3 hour arrival time. Locksmith Monkey arrived in 1 hour. He had a nice van with all equipment and got the job done in a reasonable time. Thank you. Highly recommended and would use again.

I have called Locksmith Monkey twice now. First time was for a rekeying of my VW. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional, explaining the particulars of my key, and offered me an alternative to the factory key fob that works perfectly. He worked out of his van, and was able to meet his time estimate. Today, I called Locksmith Monkey because the deadbolt on my safety door wouldn't open. Alan responded to my call quickly and was able to determine that the keys i had cut were not completely cut correctly. He was able to analyze the door lock in his mobile lock lab, and recut a perfect key that works on all of the locks! I am very impressed with the technicians at Locksmith Monkey. They are courteous and talented. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have used Locksmith Monkey twice now. Both times were because I locked myself out of my car. Locksmith Monkey was able to get me into my locked car very quickly, and even got there in a timely matter. These guys get 5 stars because they earned it by showing up right on time and helping me to resolve a tricky situation. The locksmith on duty, Michael, was patient and highly competent with getting my broken key out of my house door lock, and he made extra keys. He also gave me a very good price. Awesome customer service!

We called them and the guy who showed up took 5 seconds to pop open the door and was very nice! Really good experience!

Very smooth transaction.  Would recommend to a friend.  Ilan was very polite and my car was opened quickly. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of lack of communication between the phone staff and Ilan, the technician.  I had to wait longer than told, and even though I said I was parked in a specific hotel (and gave them the name of hotel and exact address) the technician didn't know where I was. A very nice interaction in an otherwise unpleasant time of locking myself out of my car.

Mike was super speedy, helpful, cheerful and pleasant! I was dreading having locked my key in my older Lexus but he came to the rescue!!!

I had a very good experience with these guys. I googled: Locked out of apartment and their number was the first result. Mike was the one who helped me, he got to me very quickly, he was nice, cordial, and knew what he was doing. I recommend this service!

Amazing service, I had been locked out for 6 hours in the snow attempting to open the door myself but he arrived and managed to open the door efficiently despite the level of difficulty. He was a total life saver!
